5 Interesting Places on the Komodo Island

1. KOMODO Island

Komodo Island is an island located on the islands of Nusa Tenggara. Komodo Island is known as the original habitat of Komodo animals. The island is also the area of Komodo National Park which is managed by the Central Government. Komodo Island is located east of Sumbawa Island, which is held by the Sape Strait.

2. Rinca Island

Rinca is an island located on the islands of Nusa Tenggara. Rinca Island can be tried on Komodo Island, and Padar Island is Komodo National Park area managed by the Central Government. Rinca Island is located west of Flores Island, which is held by Strait Mola.

The island is also part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site, as it is a Komodo National Park area along with Komodo Island, Padar Island and Gili Motang. The center of the island is located in Doro (Mountain) Ora, 670 m asl.

On this island live various types of animals such as Komodo dragons, wild pigs, buffalo, and birds. Rinca Island can be reached by a small boat from Labuan Bajo in western Flores.

Administratively, this island belongs to Komodo District, West Manggarai Regency, East Nusa Tenggara Province, Indonesia.

Rinca Island is one of the Komodo wildlife breeding grounds where Rinca Island becomes one of the tourist destinations to witness Komodo and wildlife that are still found here such as deer, wild boar, wild buffalo, etc.

3. GUA STONE MIRROR

Batu Laberm Bajo Mirror Cave is one of the attractions that became the prima donna of Labuan Bajo, Flores, East Nusa Tenggara. Batu Cermin Cave is about 4 km from Labuan Bajo which takes about 30-50 minutes by vehicle.

Goa Batu Mirror Labuhan Bajo was first discovered by a researcher and a Dutch national priest circa 1951, from the research of the pastor in conclusion that the previous was under the sea surface.

To travel to Goa Batu Cermin Labuhan Bajo is very easy because of the government itself has prepared this place as one of the tourist visits. 4. Lake Mountain Kelimutu

blue and is known as Tiwu Ata mBupu. Kelimutu is located in Kecamatan Kelimutu, Ende District, East Nusa Tenggara on geographical position 8o 45.5 'South Latitude and 121o 50' East Longitude.

To reach this area, we can go through Maumere, the Capital of Sikka District, or from Ende, the Capital of Ende County. The trip to this mountain from Maumere, takes between 2-3 hours, while from Ende which is only 60 km away, takes about 1-hour drive.

Given the area of Kelimutu is one tourist destination located in the highlands and remote, the District Government of Ende built the inn to attract as well as the tourists in the Village Moni. The distance of the location with the top/complex of Kelimutu lake about 12 km. Thus, the visitors who stay at this place can follow the journey to the top of Kelimutu with ease.

5. Cunca Wulang Waterfall

Cunca Wulang Waterfall is one of the favorite tourist attraction for the tourists at Labuhan Bajo Flores. Cunca Wulang Waterfall in Meiling forest area.

To get to Cunca Wulang area, we have to travel approximately 30 KM from Labuan Bajo harbor area about 1 hour by motorcycle or car. Medan to the Mbeiling Forest area is excellent as beautiful asphalt, so it is easy to pass, besides the path is also not far because the road that is given is the provincial road which is the main road.
